The 68th Derby Days Kids Parade proved to be the most successful in Redmond history--with the largest group of kids involved and $1900 donated for kids wearing helmets. With over 20 staff, family and friends of Evergreen volunteering and staffing the parade, the clinic was once again the greatest contributor of helping hands.
The morning parade was swarmed with kids dressed up as princesses, hippies and rock n’ roll stars among many others as the theme this year was “Through the Decades.” The parade members were able to dance to the music of each decade of the past while enjoying free water bottles given out by Evergreen Healthcare, receiving $2 for wearing a helmet by Clark Raymond and Company and Kempf and Company, and munching on coffee and treats served by all the local Starbucks managers.
Evergreen Speech and Hearing was a part of the fun by sponsoring “The Eighties” group. Each group member was given a goody-bag filled with eighties sunglasses, cell phones, and bouncy balls for a blast to the past and some ear plugs for hearing safety.
The clinic is proud to make its 23rd year of involvement in the planning of this exciting event such a success!
