ENVIRONMENTAL ADVENTURE SCHOOL HEALTH FAIR: APRIL 28, 2008
Doctor of Audiology Terrence Limb will be kicking off Better Hearing and Speech Month with the kids from the Environmental Adventure School in Kirkland, Washington. The school conducts a yearly educational multi-day fair featuring numerous health care professionals. Dr. Limb looks forward to sharing his advice and knowledge with the Junior High Kids!

Evergreen Speech & Hearing Clinic offers, in association with the CONNECT Program, a Family Education Seminar: teaching families how to help their loved one hear to their full potential.
During the month of May, in celebration of Better Hearing and Speech Month, the clinic will be offering a special night time session to better suit the needs of patients and their families. The class offers an open discussion that touches on how hearing works, what families should expect during the adaptation process, the impact of communication breakdowns on the family, and strategies that the family members can use to promote effective communication.

TURN IT DOWN: an EAR-responsible Concert @ THE KIRKLAND TEEN UNION BUILDING: MAY 17, 2008 @ 7:30PM
Evergreen Speech & Hearing Clinic will once again rock the house in the third annual EAR-responsible concert switching venues to the Kirkland Teen Union Building. Concert attendees will hear performances by musicians from the Seattle Music Scene, have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for fun giveaways, and learn that you can have fun while still being conscious of you hearing. All proceeds will go toward further hearing awareness and protection for those who can’t afford it.
Who: Local artists Portugal. The Man, Kay, Kay Kay + His Weathered Underground, and Man Down Medic will perform

STUTTERING SUPPORT GROUP SPECIAL EVENT: "A NIGHT OF LEARNING FROM EACH OTHER" MAY 21, 2008 7:00PM-9:00PM
Evergreen Speech & Hearing Clinic along with the Eastside NSA Stuttering Support Group Chapter will host "A Night of Learning from Each Other," for those who stutter, medical professionals, and students. The evening will feature open dialogue, activities, and discussions regarding the effects of stuttering on those who live with it, and for those whose profession closely interacts with people who stutter. It is our hope to have open discussions, and interactions to learn from each other to make better the fields of audiology, speech language pathology, and each other.
